Own the Podium is an innovative and collaborative initiative without precedent in Canadian sport. It was created to bring together the key parties involved in leading and funding excellence in Canadian sport, with specific emphasis on achieving excellence at Summer and Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Own the Podium makes recommendations to national funding parties on the amount of resources allocated to targeted winter and summer national sport organizations, Canadian Sport Centres, innovation and research, and other needed programs. Own the Podium also monitors the implementation of the targeted National Sport Organizations’ high-performance programs to ensure maximum performance results and intervenes where necessary. À nous le podium est une initiative de collaboration d'avant-garde sans précédent dans le sport au Canada. Elle a été créée dans le but de réunir les partenaires clés engagés dans l'encadrement et le financement de l'excellence dans le sport au Canada et de mettre l'accent sur l'excellence aux Jeux olympiques et paralympiques d'été et d'hiver. À nous le podium formule des recommandations aux partenaires financiers nationaux sur les montants à accorder aux organismes nationaux d'hiver et d'été ciblés, aux centres canadiens multisports, à la recherche et à l'innovation et aux autres programmes requis. À nous le podium fait également le suivi auprès des organismes de sport ciblés de la prestation de leurs programmes de haute performance afin d'assurer des résultats optimaux et intervient au besoin.
