Oxford House is a multi-generational family business that has become a household name synonymous with quality domestic appliances and furniture for homes and offices. The company traces its roots back to 1928 when Rosaria Galea used to operate a small haberdashery shop in Valletta. From these humble beginnings, her son Francesco later expanded and diversified the business into manufacturing and with his children set up the very first factory in what later became the Mriehel Industrial Estate. Two generations later and Oxford House is today recognised as the leading supplier of domestic appliances, kitchens, bedrooms and office furniture. The company prides itself in providing customer service that is second to none and ensures this through policies that deliberately favour of the customer, ongoing staff training and sustained expansion and upgrading of its facilities. The company has established long term business relationships with international brands that are considered to be market leaders in their respective fields. These include Bosch domestic appliances, Nobilia kitchens and Weimann bedrooms and LAS Mobili and Steelcase for office furniture. Earlier this year Oxford House opened the new Dorelanbed concept store, the first franchise showroom that provides the customer with a whole bedding concept of 100% ‘Made in Italy' products ranging from beds, pillows and mattresses to bed linen and accessories.
