The Oxford Mexican Society brings together the community of students, academics and professionals from Mexico, or with an interest in Mexico, living in Oxford. Also, we aim to foster a growing network with students, alumni and people at other universities and companies in the UK, Mexico, and the rest of the world. Our goals, are:• To share and promote our passion for Mexican culture and heritage.• To foster links between our members and other networks of outstanding people from both the academic and professional roles all over the world.• To highlight our members' research and work, and to support academic excellence and the open exchange of ideas.• To create and develop relationships between Mexican, British and foreign students, based on mutual respect and cultural understanding.• To provide support for all Mexicans living around the Oxford area, through the organisation of informal social gatherings and academic events.• To support, mentor and advise other Mexicans considering coming to Oxford.
