The Ozark-Dale County Humane Society (ODCHS) is extremely grateful to our compassionate, generous members and to our wonderful dedicated volunteers. Because of these people, our organization will help even more animals in the future.Networking with other rescue groups and people teaches us new possibilities in rescue - gives new ideas for growth and organization and inspires the ODCHS every single day. Apparently you can teach old dogs new tricks! When people ask what the ODCHS needs most, the reply is usually HELP. There are many ways you can help - volunteering (at the shelter or the thrift store), financial donations (click the DONATE button to make a tax deductible donation), pet food, doing laundry, and providing cleaning supplies are just a few of these needs. Most of the animals rescued by ODCHS have not been fortunate enough to experience the lasting kindness of humans and are so grateful to have a warm place to sleep, regular food, exercise, and some attention. Please consider giving our temporary boarders some of your time. If you can spend a little time socializing them (walking the dogs or playing with the cats) or work a few regular hours at the thrift shop, you will be making a significant contribution to their lives until they are adopted into their "forever" homes.
