Ozaukee Lacrosse 'OzLax' is a 501-(c)3 non-for-profit organization. We are dedicated to bringing the sport of lacrosse to the boys and girls of Ozaukee County. We are committed to learning, playing and respecting the game of lacrosse. OZLAX coaches use their passion for the sport of lacrosse as the foundation to help kids build character and learn critical life skills through individual effort, teamwork and respect.The Ozaukee Lacrosse mission is to develop a true and lasting love and passion for the game of lacrosse. The league is dedicated to developing lacrosse skills, great sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability and respect in a healthy and fun environment. Our coaches focus on developing the character of each player to create the team; winning, becomes the by-product of team character and individual effort.Founded in 2009 by Bret Naggs and Keven Ringgold, Ozaukee lacrosse fields boys and girls teams at the youth and high schools levels. At the youth level, OZLAX competes within the Milwaukee Area Youth Lacrosse division (MAYLA), while the high school teams compete within the Classic 8 Conference (Classic 8 Black for boys). As of 2017, the program has expanded to 13 youth teams as of 2017 (5 girls, 8 boys), along with high school varsity teams for both boys and girls. The club has also spawned boys and girls high school programs for both Homestead (Mequon-Thiensville), and Cedarburg High Schools.Beyond traditional spring lacrosse, OzLax holds clinics year-round for players of varying levels, plus a summer introductory program for boys and girls entering grades 2-3.
