Since 1980, Pacer Industries has been a leading North American manufacture of resin bonded grinding and cork filled rubber bonded finishing wheels for use on centerless grinding machines and roll grinding wheels for the paper industry. Both incorporate proprietary technologies and materials that are exclusive to Pacer wheels.Centerless Grinding Wheels – Resin BondedPacer is the only centerless grinding wheel manufacture to utilize a highly adhesive, powdered epoxy resin as its wheel's bonding agent. The exclusive bond produces a wheel that is versatile, resilient and extremely tough, but at the same time, forgiving and easy to use.Centerless Finishing Wheels – Cork and Rubber BondedPacer's cork finishing wheels are renowned for their resilience and smoothness, as well as their ability provide an exceptional, consistent and repeatable finish. This is due to their unique bonding formula which combines a hard rubber material with a high concentration of small cork wood granules and fine abrasive grains This exclusive combination provides a "cushioning" effect that causes the grains to act less aggressively, while the cork and rubber provide a mild polishing action.Centerless Roughing and Finishing Wheels – Resin and Cork BondedPacer also designed an option that can both rough and finish in the same pass. A resin/cork combination wheel consists of an NT resin section and a cork section mounted on the spindle in a sandwich like manner. Paper Mill IndustryPacer developed a resin bond exclusively for use in the paper mill industry. The bond is specifically formulated to soften under load, similar to shellac, however its tensile strength is amazingly higher. As a result, Pacer's PM wheels are extremely strong and grind very aggressively.
