Pachaysana Institute Details
A collective of Ecuadorian and international scholars, performance artists, development specialists and community organizers, whose mission is to create and implement innovative education programs that facilitate the identification and transformation of conflicts that prohibit sustainable development in Ecuadorian communities. Responding most directly to the discord between local and global circumstances, our programs focus primarily on face-to-face, creative dialogues between potential change agents from both local and international communities. Pachaysana engages human creative energies to take advantage of globalization's inherently positive characteristics, such as intercultural exchange, the rapid production of knowledge, technological advancement and the ease of communication, as the main tools to identify and transform. Our desired outcomes include the invention of new methods and models for bi-lateral (local-global) development.
