The year was 1996. Our founder, Dr. Barb Crabbe, had the plan of starting a small "boutique-style" equine practice where she could provide care to the horses and riders she had gotten to know through her passion for riding and competing in dressage. Her goal was to know every client's phone number by heart. Never one to say "no" to a horse in need, Dr. Crabbe soon realized that if she were to continue to provide the kind of personal service she believed in she would need help. 25 years later, Pacific Crest Sporthorse has grown into a full-scale general equine practice situated on a 32 acre horse farm and clinic facility, with three doctors providing service both in the clinic and on the road. Through all the growth, we haven't forgotten Dr. Crabbe's original vision and strive to live up to our practice goal to provide "professional care with a personal touch."
