Pacific National University is one of the largest higher education institutions of the Far East of the Russian Federation and it is involved in the formation of a unified culture of educational space of higher education of Russian Federation.Contingent of students at all levels of education is about 18,000 people, including full-time education - about 8000.University history began in 1958 with the creation of Khabarovsk Highway Institute, which in 1962 was reorganized into the Khabarovsk Polytechnic Institute, and in 1992 - in Khabarovsk State University of Technology. In 2005, Khabarovsk State University of Technology was transformed into a Pacific National University.Over the 55 years of activity university has prepared more than 88,000 specialists with higher education for the enterprises and organizations of the Far East and Eastern Siberia.Pacific National University employs more than 900 people of the teaching staff, including about 120 doctors and more than 420 PhDs.
