ABOUT PACKPeople And Canine Kingdom ("PACK") is a 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue and dog training organization. We are dedicated to providing Assistance Dogs, including Service Dogs to wounded veterans and first-responders.No Wait ListPACK provides a training model vastly different than the traditional Service Dog organization. When programs have three-to-five-year waitlists, PACK provides immediate access to ready-to-train puppies and dogs. If a veteran already owns a dog that meets our requirements, then we can accept that dog into our program as well. Dog Selection & Rescue ServicesOur mission is to match veterans with dogs that have the probability of increased wellness and longer lifespans through our rescue services. When you choose PACK, you "Save A Dog & Save 2 Lives". Training ServicesPACK offers veterans and wounded members of the community training services to become expert handlers of their Assistance Dogs. We do this by offering a therapeutic training atmosphere that includes the client in the training process that we define as "collaborative and cooperative" training. We provide a hand up, not a handout. This provides a vested interest and reinforces a "you can do it" attitude. PACK retrains, reminds, and reinforces real abilities! Who can join PACK?PACK is offered to all veterans, first-responders, and their immediate family members free of charge. After a dog team has acquired the skills to be recognized as an official PACK Service Dog Team, participants will expect to have after-care and post-certification follow-up for the lifetime of the dog (team). Our PACK becomes a true family!Why Join PACKPACK is the first Service Dog program of its kind all while dedicated to serving mentally and physically challenged men, women, children, first-responders, and veterans.
