Paddle Steamer Decoy is a historic Steamship which provides a unique venue for live music & corporate events, as well as board meetings, team building and executive coaching. Built in Fremantle in 1986, the Paddle Steamer Decoy is powered by a 112 year old steam engine and is the only sea going Steamship in the Southern Hemisphere. The Paddle Steamer Decoy is a replica of a steamship which toured the Swan River back from 1905 to 1910.The WA Steamship Co. is currently seeking partnerships for the conversion of the Decoy to a carbon neutral Steamship. Carbon neutrality during operations will achieved through the generation of steam from the combustion of renewable oils and meeting all electrical power requirements from photovoltaic generation and energy storage.
