Paddlepoint is a mobile stand-up paddleboard (SUP) company that has adopted the sharing economy for paddleboarding. Our services focus on providing paddleboard rentals at different locations in Victoria and beyond that are easily bookable for a seamless and accessible paddleboarding experience.OUR MISSIONPaddlepoint is disrupting the industry by merging technology, the sharing economy, and the sport of paddleboarding to help get more people on the water. Paddlepoint wants to make paddleboarding a more accessible outdoor experience for all.HISTORYCreated and founded by Adil Bahi, this company was born out of his passion for paddleboarding and recreation. He started paddleboarding just four years ago and fell in love with how the sport is able to get people on the water in an easy, safe, and fun way. Adil began dreaming about ways to help people achieve this while breaking the sports' barriers to entry (owning your own board, storage, and transport). Adil began to envision self-service paddleboard racks, where anyone wishing to get out on the water could access an affordable, high-quality boards and equipment easily and safely. Just like a bike share or car sharing system, Adil's idea formed into creating public SUP stations. Paddlepoint will operate using a membership/pass model, where customers can purchase passes for the day, month, or year. Passes will include a basic safety and training course that must be completed prior to use. Pass holders will use Paddlepoint SUP stations with the help of a mobile app. Paddlepoint stations will provide a chance to display local artists' work, partnership co-branding opportunities, and will all operate off-grid with the use of solar energy,Based on our experience in the greater Victoria area, we know there is a high demand for SUP equipment. In 2020, SUP sales skyrocketed and boards were not available for purchase. This market is expanding rapidly.
