Paddles By The Sea was established by Chris Woodruff, an ocean-loving transplant from California. Once this former surfer explored Florida's beautiful intracoastal waterways on a stand up paddleboard, he was hooked! With Chris's background in surfing and life guarding on the Pacific Coast, he knew equipment and safety were his first steps to beginning the business. He received training from the prestigious American Canoe Association in paddleboard safety and instruction and then set out to find a fleet of safe and comfortable boards.Paddles By The Sea began as a mobile outfitter in 2014 providing mobile guided tours throughout the Palm Beach, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties. In 2015 they established a dock location on the Indian River in Vero Beach and began offering rentals, lessons, and tours there.They now offer paddle board and kayak rentals, lessons, and tours to the Vero Beach community.
