painRX - Neuromuscular Control Training Details

Neuro-Muscular Control Training is a method of manual bodywork and corrective exercise which optimizes clients' physical functioning. NMCT identifies and corrects AMI-Arthrogenic Muscle Inhibition a specific type of neuro-muscular dysfunction which reduces the contractile capabilities of individual muscles. We help clients improve their mobility, elevate their performance in sports and daily life, reduce pain, and prevent future injuries.OPTIMIZE FUNCTION - Regardless of your body's current abilities and limitations, improving neuro-muscular control will help optimize your physical functioning. If you are 8 or 88, an athlete or exercise-averse, healthy or frail, we will determine what is appropriate for your body, today, and progress toward your functional goals.ELEVATE PERFORMANCE - Whether you are training for the Olympics or laboring to get up the stairs, trying out for the High School Basketball team or struggling with your Golf game due to back pain, Scientific Exercise will elevate your performance. Improving neuro-muscular control will increase your strength, flexibility, quality of movement, and allow you to perform at your best, in all areas of your life.REDUCE PAIN - Neuro-muscular dysfunction can increase pain by generating: inappropriate joint contact, increased muscular tension/spasm, compression of nerve tissue, and excessive demands on ligaments, joint capsules or other passive tissues. Improving neuro-muscular control can reduce pain from all these sources.PREVENT INJURY - Improving neuro-muscular control can help prevent injuries in two ways: 1) Muscles participate in "holding joints together" and when functioning properly can decrease the risk of traumatic joint injury (ACL tear, shoulder separation, etc). 2) Muscles participate in maintaining appropriate joint contact relationships and when functioning properly can decrease the risk of long-term degenerative joint injury.
