The Painted Porch Strategies team is a group of industry veterans in Mindfulness and Movement, Broadcasting, Software, and Operations dedicated to helping individuals, teams, and businesses find connection, fulfillment, resiliency, and contribution in who they serve and what they do - as one, unified, mission-focused organization. Our company was founded to seek ways to integrate ancient Stoic principles in the modern world of both life and work. The Stoics believed that a great life was focused on practicing Reason, Logic, Purpose, and Virtue in all we do. Through the 'Dichotomy of Control', we learn how to be emotionally resilient through the ups and downs presented to us, how to show up to work strong, adaptable, and capable of serving fully and with intent, and focus on what is right, necessary, and serving a greater purpose, vision, and mission.Operational inefficiencies, delays or bottlenecks, disengagement, and errors are stripped away when you focus on who you are serving and the value and purpose behind the work being done. When every one, every action, and every task is connected to your greater Who and Why, a culture of commitment, trust, engagement, and accountability emerges. The 'Painted Porch' was where the ancient philosophy of Stoicism emerged (the Greek term: 'Stoa Poikilê').
