The Pak Alliance for Maths and Science (PAMS), was established as part of the Alif Ailaan campaign, with the Alliance responsible for taking the lead on the campaign's advocacy for improved learning outcomes. With over 50 active member organisations across the country and a regular activity calendar, the PAMS' work has been featured in over 20 prime-time TV shows and has resulted in over 500 mentions in major newspapers since January 2017.Since January 2017, PAMS and its member organisations have had a direct interaction with over 150,000 students across 30 districts of Pakistan. These interactions have been through Science Festivals, activities organised in government schools, a Science Summer Camp organised by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Math-a-thon events organised in 7 universities. The Alliance's digital assets include a website, a Facebook page with a follower count of over 6000,000 users, and an active Twitter account. It also has three publications to its name, with Volume I of Powering Pakistan for the 21st Century launched by the then Prime Minister at the Prime Minister's Office in January 2017. The political and policy engagement of the Alliance has yielded high returns, with the PAMS called to present its recommendations at the penultimate Council of Common Interests meeting of the current governments' tenure to the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers in March 2018. Five of the six recommendations shared at the highest forum have been accepted by the Prime Minister, and found mention in at least one (2018-19) budget speech by a Chief Minister. An allocation of over PKR 600 million by the federal and provincial governments in the 2017-18 budgets can be attributed to the advocacy of the PAMS' network.
