Pakistan Institute of Human Rights (PIHR) is a registered non-profit, non-political research driven think tank, working for the promotion of Universal Human Rights including all parallel human rights concepts any where in the World. The institute is committed to promote the values of civil, political, social, economic and cultural human rights to strengthen democratic values, justice, equality, peace, security and tolerance in the Pakistani society. PHIR firmly believes in the power of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) to leverage the efforts of human rights promotion and works in conformity with all international Human Right Instruments and Organizations including but not limited to United Nations, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch etc. Institute Expertise ICT-enablement of remote and underserved education institutions to promote education and access to information as a basic human right. Development and delivery of educational and technical training programmes, particularly in ICTs, to remote and underserved areas of Pakistan. Consultancy in social, economic, cultural, civil and political human rights, particularly education, for the voluntary, community, public and private sectors on both policy and practice. Executing projects pertaining to social, economic, cultural, civil and political human rights, particularly education, in collaboration with the voluntary, community, public and private sectors. Media activity, campaigns and occasional strategic legal interventions. Research, policy analysis and lobbying to convince provincial and national governments on human rights and related issues.
