The Palestine Techno Park (PTP) is a non-profit organization established in 2016 and is a member of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), a leading global network for science parks and areas of innovation. The PTP aims to help knowledge-based enterprises and creative and technology clusters who want to grow and operate successfully locally, regionally and globally by creating a national infrastructure, business environment and culture and by helping them seed, grow and commercialize business opportunities. The PTP has the following objectives:1. Establishing a must-have and essential infrastructure to enable growth and clustering in the technology sector by providing commercial offices services geared for innovation and technology companies2. Changing the brand and image of the technology sector to attract foreign direct investment and integrate with global value chains3. Supporting technology entrepreneurship programs, launching new technology start-ups, social enterprises and developing new products4. Conducting technology transfer activities that would work on the commercialization cycles of research and development whether at universities or industry and take them to markets as well as5. Bridging the knowledge gap and the gap between private sector & academic in capacity building, technology and innovationThe PTP believes that the above activities will result in economic development including job creationThe Techno Park initiative with the foundation stone ceremony on Nov. 8th 2016 and the generous support from the Republic of India to develop the Palestine - India Techno Park project. The project is currently at the design stage in preparation for the construction of the India building.
