Founded on September 1988, Pan-African Reconciliation Center is a not-for-profit, non-political and non partisan grassroots movement for socio-political as well as moral emancipation of Africa and siblings worldwide from the bondage of ignorance and poverty on the basis of active nonviolence as a tool for social engineering and ultimate social order,* The organization strengthens community leadership and establish a regional network of community leaders committed to nonviolence and reconciliation.* enhance capability of women and youth to create a stable climate for peace and development;* reinforce technical understanding and capacity to reduce and avoid conflict and to respond constructively and effectively when that is required.*generate a deeper awareness and understanding of the nonviolent methods to acknowledge the necessity for and approach the creation for social change;*encourage recognition of the need for social change and assist in the development of conciliatory means to achieve such means;*Develop and expand awareness and openness on the part of media personnel to grassroots and community needs and advance their opposition to tribal, religious and ethnic violence.
