Since 2001 we have specialised in selling Fair Trade, sustainable products and eco-friendly gifts made in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal direct to consumers and to wholesale partners. All our products are handmade by skilled artisans using locally sourced sustainable and recycled materials wherever possible.Paper High was born out of a love of travelling. In 1998 Mark & Claire the company founders, set off on a round-the-world trip when an unexpected change in destination and an extended stay in Kathmandu lead to a chance meeting with a paper maker, making beautiful products. This sowed the seed of an exciting business idea.On their return with two boxes of handmade gifts sold from a small stall in Camden Market they triggered the start of the Paper High empire! People loved the unique quality of the handmade products and the business began to grow. Further travel led to finding more Fair-Trade suppliers in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka, including our elephant dung producer. Where our products come from and how they are made and the relationship we build with our suppliers is very important to us. We only work with small family businesses, community incentives, charities and accredited Fair-Trade organisations and our promise is that every product on this site is Fair Trade as set out by the World Trade Organisation (WTFO). It is an essential part of our business model that we have a mutually beneficial relationship with our fair-trade suppliers. We respect the people we work with and have got to know them and their families well over the years and consider them true friends. They have grown with us bringing huge benefits to their communities and the artisans who make the great products we sell.Paper High has grown significantly since it's humble start and we are happy to be able to bring you products we love, we very much hope you like them too.
