Do business for yourself but not by yourself. How do I know if my realtor is giving me correct advice and guidance when they are getting paid by the seller? Who do they "really" represent? How do I know my mortgage broker/loan officer is trying to get me the very best deal and looking out for my best interest when the lender is the one paying them a commission to bring them the business? Who do they "really" represent? Do I know what steps to take and what to look for to avoid pitfalls when investing in real estate? Do I have enough experience to do this on my own? Do I have the knowledge to know what to look for in reading a Good faith estimate and/or closing statement so that I know the lender is not overcharging me? Do I know what fees are negotiable? Would I like to have an experienced real estate partner guiding me in the transaction my without having to share your profits?
