The developments are usually carried in joint ventures with larger property companies such as British Land Plc, and funds such as USS, Highcross, Hermes, and Henderson.Parlison's role in these projects is that of development manager. In this role Parlison act in 'effect' as the client as far as the professional team and the letting agents are concerned.Parlison would normally be responsible for negotiations with local councils leading to a scheme obtaining planning consent, for negotiating with affected landowners wherever required and for securing the necessary legal agreements to allow developments to proceed. Once a scheme is on site Parlison will manage it to comply with the feasibility's or business plans that were signed off at earlier stages. Regular meetings are held with a number of parties to ensure that various levels of development teams hierarchy - from client to professional - are in touch with progress made and issues being encountered.In addition to the above roles Parlison invests in development projects using its own capital resources and banking arrangements.
