Telecommunications - Campbell, California, United States
We started our company in 1984 in a small house across the street from Valley Fair Shopping Center in San Jose. We specialized in installing those new fangled car phones that were selling for about $3,000 at the time. We grew with the industry and opened approximately 25 stores from 1994 through 1998 as "cell phones" became an everyday business tool and not just a luxury. In 1998 we were recruited by Pacific Bell Mobile Services to become their exclusive distributor of their wireless services. Pacific Bell was subsequently renamed Cingular when their parent company bought Bell South in 2002. We followed suit renaming our 67 stores Cingular Wireless. Things don't stay the same very long in this industry and we again found ourselves changing the signs on our stores in 2008 when Southwestern Bell acquired good ol' "Ma Bell" and promptly renamed the company AT&T. This time our sign vendors were more than pleased to find we had almost eighty stores from Napa to Visalia that needed new signs. Though we've seen a lot of changes in this industry from installed car phones to StarTACs to free phones, one thing has never changed. We are in the business of providing our customers with the very latest communications equipment from the best manufacturers in the world like Samsung, Motorola, LG, Nokia and Apple. We are an employee owned company and are laser focused on making sure our customers leave our stores with a big smile.
