Participa Foundation was born out of the corporate social responsibility of OstosSola and, in particular, from the commitment of its partners, Gloria Ostos and Antonio Sola in promoting and fostering citizen participation in public life. The Participa Foundation promotes new forms of citizen observation and participation to promote Trusted Governments. It is, through the active and responsible participation of citizens in public life, that corruption is eradicated, the political regeneration of institutions is promoted, institutional strengthening is achieved, and democracy is consolidated, so that we can advance towards a more open, more efficient, and more caring society that allows achieving greater economic, social and human development. With roots in Europe and Latin America, our vocation is to contribute to providing solutions to global issues. Gloria Ostos, president of the Participa Foundation has been nominated by Spain as a member of the Technical Committee ISO 9001 CT 176 WG 04 that is working specifically on the international standard ISO 18091: 2014 on quality management for Local Governments and its adaptation to the new Agenda 2030, approved by the United Nations, which contains 17 ambitious global objectives and 169 goals to achieve global sustainable development and the eradication of hunger in the world and the defense of human rights. The Participa Foundation has created a portal www.participaciudadano.org, a tool that encourages observation and citizen participation so that, in an active and permanent way, citizens can decide on government priorities, they can demand effective management and good governance in keeping promises and the electoral program, and eradicating corruption in order to evolve towards more open, transparent and supportive societies that promote the common good
