Passing Tree is a community designed to help people memorialize loved ones who have passed away.Passing Tree is for people who are alive, but is built to acknowledge and honor a duality in life: we are simultaneously living and dying. Most of us prefer not to think about the dying aspect, but this is where Passing Tree gives a voice that we may have only dreamt of having. We will be able to dedicate a song, record a message, or send a gift at the time of someone's special occasion. We may tell people, privately or publicly, about our hopes and dreams. As a user who is busy living (which, we hope, is how most of our moments are spent), Passing Tree is a special place for us to connect with loved ones. The concept of the "tree" is that each member is represented with a tree, and we can think of our friends and loved ones as the fruit of the tree. Much like one's ancestry, we are all like a rooted tree in relation to our own families, and yet we can be found in the branches of the trees of others.
