Path to Wellness and Development Initiative (PWDI), a non-governmental organization, aims to improve health outcomes through health promotion and literacy backed with sustainable skills acquisition for communities at risk in Nigeria. Using a multidimensional partnership platform, PWDI partners with health agencies and small to medium-scale trade industries to improve overall health outcomes in the communities.Partnering with health agencies ensures PWDI provides a safe learning environment for participants to receive culturally-aligned health education and awareness targeting chronic diseases, infectious diseases, and reproductive health issues.Additionally, partnering with small to medium-scale trade industries allows PWDI to provide participants with an avenue to acquire skills necessary for better economic integration, thereby giving the participants opportunities to make informed health choices and leverage their skills to support their decisions.
