Thus PD is in charge of organizing and supervising the production chain,(raw material & craftsman and ending with the client) with a special focus on social and environmental impact & subscribing with the WFTO 10 principles. These certifications are sought by the value chain and particularly by potential clients. We clearly understand that fair trade is not aid but a commercial activity and as such the price of a product should logically cover its production and distribution costs, customs, taxes and retailers costs.We strive to ensure that all those involved in the crafting of the products can make full use of their potential and enjoy an adequate standard of economic self-sufficiency, living up to shared ideals. The advent of responsible consumers that encourage fair trade arouses a fresh active interest in craftwork and everything it encompasses: uniqueness, sustainability, tradition, quality among others. PD endeavors to become the vehicle for south-America artisans from all walks of life, to meet achieving a perfect synergy and common front vis –a-vis the international market.
