Paul Bennett is an international contemporary fine artist specialising in Seascape and Abstract paintings. The Seascape paintings he creates are influenced from exploring some of the lesser known and more isolated wildernesses along the U.K.'s coastline. The Western coast of Scotland has been repeatedly referenced and inspired a large part of his Seascapes.The use of multiple layers of thick oil paint is used to capture the ever shifting shores and skies. The result is abstracted, but aims to maintain the sense of remoteness and restlessness of the evolving coastal seasons.Paul's study of the Seascape has led him to focus on the balance between texture, form and colour, using different techniques to capture the ever changing light and movement; the objective is to draw the viewer in to the experience of the turbulent / tranquil skies and ferocious / placid seas carved by the landscape.Paul also works on Figurative paintings. The style is very different from the Seascapes, but both are created from drawing from memory to create works that are abstracted and expressional. He endeavours to generate a sense of intimacy and isolation while leaving the subject open to interpretation.Paul is an established artist whose work is shown globally in galleries and art auctions. He also has a strong online presence and a selection of his seascapes can now be purchsed as prints. He's list of international clients is constantly expanding.Commissions are available on request.
