Paul Coughlin Annie Scheel Architects is an architecture and design studio based in New York City, founded in 2013. We focus on design at all scales including urban design, public architecture, houses and housing, commercial, educational and recreational spaces. We employ a variety of methods to arrive at innovative solutions within the programs and sites of architecture. We do not focus on a single type of project or style but instead offer unique proposals to transcend use and aesthetic.Our process embraces the unique qualities of the project site. Our goal is not just to compliment the site, but also to enhance its qualities through the architecture. Context is a powerful generator for our design process.We recognize our complementary skill set and use it to creatively develop our projects. Our work has consistently grown in scale over the past eight years, beginning with small residential renovations, to now developing large multifamily projects.
