Over the last year, with the cooperation of Ryerson University, Mediac has been developing a suite of software called PAVO. PAVO is designed from the ground up to make full use of the features available in the CEA-708 digital standard when captioning. The suite also includes modules for Described Video. This software is a modularized platform-independent captioning system which provides captioners with the easiest and fastest way to caption, made possible with current digital technology and is scheduled to launch January 2018.
