Paws Forever started in the Summer of 2007, Jake the co-founder of Paws Forever lost his lovable rescued pitbull/beagle mix named Arthur. A year and half passed and he adopted another rescue from the Hurricane Katrina disaster named Eleanor. After two years having Eleanor they found a mass behind her ear and had decided to lay her to rest. After losing both dogs, Jake was bothered having the remains stuck in a cardboard box. He wanted something artistic to remember both dogs, as these two were an important part of his life. With tools and machinery available at a sign shop, which Jake worked at, he created the first Paws Forever urn in memory for Arthur. After the passing of Eleanor he sought areas of improvement from his last urn and created the second Paws Forever Urn. Since than, Jake rescued another beagle named Milo and is happy to say he hasn't had to build any more urns, he enjoys everyday with Milo with new stories made each day. These custom art pieces had been on display in his home and when visitors visit they ask, why don't you share your story and create more handcrafted urns for others as they need a piece of art to remember special moments they had with their companion like you do Jake. With that idea fresh in his mind a co-worker was talking about how the sign company wants to go greener and reuse the aluminum scraps. Jake pitched his idea to owner as he created the urns from scrap pieces of aluminum in the shop. Since than, Jake created a full arrange of unique shapes, colors, and sizes and Paws Forever now uses all reused and recycled materials. Paws Forever stands by their quality as each urn is handcrafted to your pet's memories for you to now share with others.
