Financial Services - Ballybane, County Galway, Ireland
The objective of this Group is to provide clarification regarding Payroll Matters in Ireland that PAYE workers and their employers in Ireland may have from time to time. Payroll Matters in Ireland was set up to offer clarification to workers for questions they may have surrounding TWSS, PUP, PAYE, USC, PRSI & general payroll issues. The 1st port of call for most of the personal tax credit and tax band band allowance queries is Revenue. Payroll Matters in Ireland was born out of the frustration, anguish, and hardship felt by PAYE workers in 2021 after receiving their first weekly wages following their return to work after been in receipt of the PUP. These worker after returning to work were having almost 35% of all their wages deducted as income tax. The level of confusion and stress this is causing among working people who do not have the luxury of having their own accountants or tax advisors is unacceptable. Groups and pages on Social Media cover many topics, including issues relating to payroll. Without these social media platforms, the workers affected by this would have had nowhere to look for answers. Credit is due to the Administrators and Moderators of these pages and groups for providing a platform for people to seek answers to issues affecting them in the absence of satisfactory communication from Revenue or the Department of Social Protection (DSP).There is a knowledge gap amongst PAYE workers about Payroll Matters in Ireland and this group and the Facebook group Payroll Matters in Ireland hopes to bridge that gap over time.
