PCI DSS is a challenge, one that members of the Higher Education and Further Education community approached collectively by forming the PCI DSS Special Interest Group in 2011.Since our first meeting on a crisp September morning where the PCI DSS SIG was formed, we have come a long way together and have grown as we welcome new members together. Building on the Higher Education / Further Education sector's amazing ability to collaborate, we worked together to understand the impact of PCI DSS within our organisations, the changes it would bring and how it would transform our card payment activities as it was implemented.Together we have pooled resources, developed training and shared best practices to help our members achieve and maintain PCI DSS compliance.With over 100 current members, the SIG has gone from strength to strength, and is now seen as an examplar for a sector-wide approach to achieving and supporting PCI DSS compliance.
