At the PCOS Health and Nutrition Centre we are committed to providing information and support to women with PCOS and those who care for and about them. While research into the causes, implications and treatment of PCOS is ongoing, there is no argument that lifestyle changes are the first step in managing PCOS. In fact lifestyle modifications, including diet, exercise and moderate weight loss have been shown to reduce insulin levels, improve menstrual function, reduce testosterone (male hormone) levels, improve symptoms of hirsutism (excess hair growth) and acne, restore ovulation and increase fertility. Despite this, knowing exactly what changes you need to make and then putting these into practice can be difficult.At the PCOS Health & Nutrition Centre our goal is to provide evidence-based education and advice for managing PCOS through lifestyle changes, including nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management.
