PCOS Support Jamaica is a cause that is aimed to educate and spread awareness to the Jamaican public about the severity of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Our main goal is to allow PCOS to be recognized as a chronic illness in Jamaica and for it to be treated as such. Research states that Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome affects one (1) in ten women. However, we have reasons to believe that the number may have increased to two (2) in ten. Our organization in this aspect, has therefore been pushing to educate women who may knowingly or unknowingly have PCOS, and to allow them to have a grasp of what life can be like with controlled PCOS symptoms.
