Peace on the Move, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization established in 2000 by Peace Baptist Church to serve the greater metro-Atlanta area.The organization is comprised of a network of programs, founded on the truth and spirit of God's Word, to empower and equip individuals and families to move from dependency to self-sufficiency. We welcome all people and are dedicated to transforming and building better lives for individuals, families, and communities through learning and action. POTM has an excellent reputation in the Metro-Atlanta community and is one of the area's largest providers of social support services. One of the most recognized programs of POTM is "Feed the Need" (FTN). In 2013 300,000+pounds of food was distributed to 10,000+ families. FTN clothes closet has also helped to keep families warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Both programs are very active and engaged in meeting needs of the community. On the forecast for POTM is Deborah's House. Deborah's House is a safe and nurturing supportive live-in environment for young ladies aging out of Foster Care to prepare them for independent living. The target population is single ladies between the ages of 16-21. The primary goal of Deborah House is to educate, empower and assist young ladies in establishing a lifestyle of self-sufficiency, thereby enabling them to be clothed in strength, dignity and live without fear of the future.
