Panorama Valley Obstetrics and Gynecology was founded in 1989 by Drs. Grove, Woodworth, and Holmsten to accommodate the healthcare needs of women in the Penfield area. Under their direction, they created a practice widely recognized for offering compassionate, attentive, and comprehensive high quality healthcare services to their patients.At the same time, they moved forward with a plan for the practice's future. Over the years the practice expanded in size, added skilled OB/GYN physicians, changed locations for easier patient access and convenience, and changed the practice's name to Penfield Obstetrics and Gynecology. Today, the physicians at Penfield Obstetrics and Gynecology continue the tradition of providing patients with expert healthcare in a compassionate and attentive atmosphere.Beyond pregnancy-and-childbirth related procedures, the practice's capabilities for gynecologic procedures has surpassed traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy to include the use of robotic surgical equipment (da Vinci) that interfaces with the surgeons. Penfield OB/GYN's partners, Dr. Laroia, Dr. Piquon, and Dr. Klimek, immediately recognized that in the hands of experienced and highly trained surgeons, robotic surgery offers patients a vastly improved experience.They introduced robotic GYN surgery at Rochester General Hospital and were among the first in upstate New York to perform robotic GYN procedures. The doctors have also trained other surgeons in robotic surgery due to their renowned level of skill and expertise.Penfield OB/GYN has repeatedly chosen to invest in state-of-the-art equipment and will continue to do so in order to provide our patients with the highest quality healthcare.
