Pensacola Habitat for Humanity, Inc., was established as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International in 1981. Pensacola Habitat is a non-profit, Christian organization dedicated to building affordable housing in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties using volunteer labor and donated land, materials, and funds. Pensacola Habitat's program enables qualified home buyers to purchase a quality home at cost with a 0% interest mortgage. Toward the journey of homeownership, our mission is to give people a hand-up, not a handout. Home buyers will help to build their own home and will attend classes teaching the essentials of home ownership. Not only that, but based on what they can afford, applicants will choose their lot location, house plan, and even the amenities in the home.
