Peninsula Technology Assessment Group (PenTAG) is an established health technology assessment (HTA) team with expertise and experience appropriate to working on HTA projects. Specialist research interests in the team include: public health, acute and chronic physical health conditions, mental health, vaccines, precision medicine, complementary medicine and rare diseases. The team has a good reputation for quality and timeliness, and has become well respected in the UK and international (HTA) community; it is one of the UK's leading units in HTA.Within the University of Exeter College of Medicine and Health (CMH), PenTAG is one of 20 research groups (~200 research staff) that comprises the Institute of Health Research (IHR). The wider organisation also offers access to research networks in related disciplines such as public health, basic science, economics, mathematics, social policy, psychology and sociology.PenTAG has extensive knowledge of HTA methods and processes. The multidisciplinary team consists of specialists in information science, systematic review, statistics, economic evaluation and modelling, epidemiology and global health policy. In its work for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the NIHR HTA Programme, PenTAG has gained substantial experience of project management. Using a dynamic approach to project management and timetabling, PenTAG has proven its flexibility to manage and deliver high-quality HTA reports within scope, time and budget.
