People Love Music started out as a monthly club concept at club Fugazi (now called Mesh) and played a central role in building the club to be among Oslo´s most popular from 2009-2013. When Fugazi closed and started it´s co-working space Mesh Norway, People Love Musics shifted from being a club night to an independent label focusing focusing on releasing soulful, electronic music from Norway. The label has worldwide digital distribution through Phonofile AS, and has had releases listed on national radio, placed in feature films, placed in commercials, given support from dj´s and tastemakers all over the world and also given its artists exposure leading to releases with bigger labels like Paper Recordings (England), Kontor Records (Germany), and Knirckfritt/EMI Music.
