PMPH has maintained the leading position in medical publication in china since it was founded in 1953. After half a century's efforts pmph has set up a vast wealth of medical publications, including books, periodicals, and digital products. It has become the most important medical publishing base in china. It is also the only World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating centre for the promotion and translation of WHO publications in China.PMPH has published more than 30 thousand books and printed over 670 million copies. it publishes 1000 new titles and distributes more than 10 million copies annually. Total sales are more than 10 billion RMB per year. PMPH has continually led the way in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) book publication throughout Asia. In the past 50 years it has published a total of 2 000 TCM books, including 300 classical chinese medical texts. Since 2006, pmph has published more than 300 TCM titles of books, DVDs, and wall charts in English, Spanish, Italian, French and other languages. Today, PMPH is trying to publish more digital products.PMPH established its branch in US, PMPH-USA, in January 2008. PMPH-USA publishes clinical references, textbooks, and online material for physicians, dentists, medical students, and health science practitioners. In July of 2008, the company acquired BC Decker's medical book list, consisting of world-class authors and titles in areas such as oncology, surgery, neurology, pediatrics, oral surgery, and dentistry.
