Primarily, a domestic manufacturer of motion upholstery originally based in Mississippi, Peoploungers opened in 1979. After 30 yeards of operation the company closed down in 2009 having peaked at $90M in annual sales in 2004. In 2009, HFI Brands (www.hfibrands.com) acquired the Peoploungers name and set up to relaunch the brand as a container direct manufacturer of high quality, trend right occassional tables/accents, stationary and motion upholstery. The new Peoploungers was officially introduced to retailers at the Fall 2010 High Point, NC Furniture Market on the 3rd floor of historic Market Square. With an experienced furniture and showroom in-house design team and a strategic alliance with Outlook International, Peoploungers is well positioned to bring high quality, exclusive designs and great furniture value to the marketplace.
