Renewables & Environment - Marrakesh, Marrakesh-Safi, Morocco
Created in February 2012, PEPS SA is a Marrakech based joint-venture between NST, a Guadeloupian company specialized in clean-tech development, and Imperium Holding, a Moroccan tier-1 industrial group. PEPS International industrializes the Solar Micro-Wave process (SMO®) and develops its commercial expansion throughout the globe. The SMO© processes waste, plastic and biomasses into a highly valuable output – electricity or activated charcoal – through a patented path of technological innovations, based on the solar pyrolysis principle. The SMO® processes the recovery without GHG emission and energy-autonomously, while crystalizing most of the value locally. With key features such as positive energy balance, mobility, adaptability and polyvalence, be it at the input (waste/biomass) or output (electricity/activated charcoal) level, the SMO® presents a highly competitive edge. The prizes obtained for its innovative solutions, notably at the MASEN FT2M 2015 and the OCP Hackathon 2016 editions, have triggered significant media coverage and institutional traction for the SMO®.NST and PEPS are respectively backed by i) the French BPI & the Conseil Régional de Guadeloupe and ii) the Cluster Solaire (MASEN) & the Conseil Régional de Marrakech-Safi.
