PCBA is a Trade Association comprised of independent Pepsi-Cola Franchise Bottlers that have the exclusive right to produce, market and distribute Pepsi-Cola, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Lipton Tea, Tropicana and Starbucks Brands in defined geographic territories in perpetuity. The Association is designed to serve as a communication hub that fosters the exchange of ideas, best practices and investment opportunities. Specifically, the PCBA is engaged in helping Bottlers reduce costs, reduce risks and improve efficiencies by introducing product solutions from ‘top quartile' insurance, risk management, health care, IT, hedge fund social & digital media and cyber security firms. As President my accountability first and foremost is to protect Bottlers' Franchise Rights. As the ‘intermediary' my role is to lead the negotiation process on behalf of the Bottlers with PepsiCo & Pepsi American Bottling (PAB) functional leadership teams (finance, marketing, brands, sales, supply chain). My role is to also help Bottlers build Franchise equity by challenging Bottlers to "stand-in-the future" and evaluate alternative investment ideas that will drive incremental revenue and profit by stretching current boundaries. My role is to find the common ground and synergies that will align the Franchise Bottler System around mutual needs, wants and desires so the best interest of the entire ‘blue system' can be fulfilled. Pepsi-Cola Bottlers Association (PCBA) is trade association that was established in 1949 and incorporated in Annapolis, Maryland.
