The Perinatal Wellbeing Canterbury Trust was created in 2007 by a group of concerned medical professionals and parents who had themselves been affected by anxiety, depression and other issues related to a decline in perinatal mental wellbeing.The key community needs on which we intend to focus our energy and resources on over the next three years are:● Support and assistance to parents and whanau with perinatal mental wellbeing issues● Early intervention and preventative services● Public awarenessVisionOur vision for our community is Mentally Healthy Parents.MissionOur mission is to encourage and grow the mental wellbeing of parents during pregnancy, childbirth and parenting within the first 2,000 days (Pregnancy to 5 yearsValues▪ Manaaki - respect and aroha for each other▪ Stronger Together - sharing and growing from lived experience▪ Integrity - in all we doClient GroupParents who are experiencing a decline in mental wellbeing relating to, or resulting from, pregnancy, childbirth and parenting within the first 2,000 days (Pregnancy to 5 years).
