Person to Person was established in 2000 to provide mental health and substance abuse evaluations and counseling to the South Metro Atlanta in the historic McDonough, Georgia, area. It is our mission to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, therapeutic environment to adult men and women suffering from the negative effects of alcohol and drug use. Services We OfferASAM Level 2.1 – Intensive Outpatient ProgramThis treatment program is designed for adults suffering from the negative effects of alcohol and drug use and any co-occurring mental health issues. The Intensive Outpatient Program is a highly effective choice for those not requiring full residential care. This allows the clients to continue daily employment and regular home activities while building and practicing the skills necessary for recovery within the context of their everyday life. We offer day and evening groups.ASAM Level 1- Outpatient ProgramThis treatment program offers specialized services on a scheduled basis for individuals with alcohol and other drug abuse problems. The treatment program emphasizes socially acceptable values such as self-reliance, responsibility, competency, individual achievement, individual/community protection, and the importance of the family. Topics addressed include post-acute withdrawal syndrome, relapse prevention, breaking through denial, medical aspects of addiction, letting go of high-risk behavior, family function and dysfunction, cognitive restructuring, parenting, and codependency. The program includes life-skills training, experiential learning, goal setting, personal empowerment, respect for self and others, and positive self-concept and self-talk.
