We specialize in creating fine pewter countertops and other custom pewter architectural elements such as hoods and cast metal details. Our work has been described by some of our clients as "Kitchen Jewelry". Based in San Francisco, California, Pewter by Design offers a full line of edge profiles and services world-wide, i.e. period pewter restoration, on-site templating, and installation of our work. Our finishes are considered the best on the market. The counter tops we produce have tops that are thicker for greater wear and durability than providers. All of our edge details are original designs by the artisans of Pewter by Design.In addition to their obvious aesthetic qualities, pewter counter tops have been considered Eco-Friendly for several reasons:• Longevity – Our counter tops have a finished top thickness of approximately 3/16" so they are capable of providing decades of use under normal residential and commercial situations. • Zero VOC off gassing of the finished product. • No harmful materials required for maintenance or cleaning.
