Faded Fly is a small community based Fly Shop Here in Idaho. We are located in the heart of the Treasure Valley, Nampa. Just 40 minutes away from the Owyhee River (Distance is measured in minutes around here!) That makes us 25 minutes from the Boise and 3 ½ hours form the mighty Salmon. It seems a lot shorter if you travel with good friends. We operate under the premise that; you can get Fly gear anywhere, but service, now that's a different story. Our primary focus is education; that is to say instructional classes as well as DVD rentals. We understand that beginning Fly Anglers seem overwhelmed by the barrage of information and gear. Our job as a full service Fly shop is to help you make sense of the chaos. Education, it is what is known as power, and here at the Faded Fly our goal is to enlighten all who wish enlightenment. There are so many nuances, how on earth will you figure this whole thing out? Just a small tidbit; I have been fly fishing since I was 6 years old, some 40 years or so. If you go Fly Fishing with the attitude to learn you will have an amazing experience and could possibly become the teacher in short fashion. We honor the fact that The Fly Fishing Industry is a perpetual educational pursuit. That is to say I learn something new from everyone I fish with. Our point is this; we are centered in Fly Fishing Nirvana and Love to share information with existing and possibly, New Clients.
