Our Mission:To save, preserve, restore and reactivate the artistcommunity of the New Hope Colony at Phillips Mill through the creation of a new global artist colony at the birthplace of Pennsylvania Impressionism and the New Hope School of Art. The community of artists which started here at the dawn of the 20th Century by William Lathrop, Edward Redfield and Daniel Garber inspired the formation of the Foundation in 2018 as a new non-profit dedicated to these aims.Our Vision:The New Hope Colony Foundation for the Arts is creatingan accessible place for artists to work, study andcollaborate while encouraging convergence with thepublic for civic dialogues, inspiration, education andenlightenment. Through the acquisition, restorationand adaptive reuse of historic structures & landscapeand construction of new facilities, the Foundation willcreate endowed artist live/work studios and exhibition& presentation spaces for public engagement. TheFoundation aims to foster professional and creativedevelopment for artists of all disciplines and media.
