With this knowledge you will learn how to treat, prevent and reverse chronic disease and how to optimise your health status through nutrition and implementing positive change.Correct nutrition encourages balance in the body, we ease inflammation and calm an overactive immune system. We look beyond the symptoms to correct imbalances present at the core levels of digestion, inflammation, immunological, hormonal etc. The introduction of anti-inflammatory foods and nutrients can bring remarkable improvement in symptoms for the wide range of conditions including arthritis, psoriasis, heart disease, asthma and inflammatory bowel disorders.During comprehensive nutrition consultations we gather information on diet, lifestyle, the current health status and any other factors that may be effecting health. We then begin to establish if the quality of food contains sufficient vitamins and nutrients to encourage and support healthy processes within the body. This integrated approach to wellness also aims to identify and address 'triggers' which lead to ill health. We evaluate the symptoms and look for the root causes that disrupt the bodies systems. We educate the patient to make simple dietary changes, using food as medicine, natural products as healing agents and nutrients as components to encourage health. Details of these changes are included in the individualised personal health care programme which I develop to suit the clients needs.
